Workshop B - Fades, Tapers and Difficult Hair

Focussed on the core basics of fades and tapers this course will give you confidence in cutting traditional tapers, fades (including skin fades) and long hair. Our educators will guide you in getting the best out of your equipment and natural skill to achieve exceptional haircuts. This course can be tailored for experienced barbers and hairdressers looking to expand their skill set with more complex hair types such as African, Asian, long or curly hair.
Minimum age requirement is 16+

What's involved
Our educator will start with an explanation of equipment and best use of tools to get desired effect of the haircut. You will then discuss the techniques for a client consultation followed by the educator's demonstration. Here the attendee can learn step by step specific techniques to complete certain types of haircuts i.e. zero fade or curly hair. Our educator will then guide you through your own haircut where you are able to focus on a specific area, technique and ask questions one-to-one. 

Location & Timing
Runs for 2.5 hours every month 6:30pm – 9:00pm.
The next workshop is scheduled for the first Tuesday of next month.
Location: The Barberhood Martin Place.

• Your own models (2 in total)
• Scissors, thinning scissors (if you have them), clippers, guards, straight razor, comb, notebook & pen. The Barberhood will provide blades, capes and mirrors. A straight razor is available for purchase on the evening for $39.50.
